Mike Bennett impressed in the 3-1 Brooklyn win over Cleveland. Bennett, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1967 draft, was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Brooklyn pitcher Damon Rutherford earned the win, hiking his record to 13-13. Bob Yolton suffered the loss. Bob Hill notched his 17th save in 25 chances.
