The Milwaukee Dairymen welcomed the St. Louis Explorers to an night game at Corps of Discovery Stadium.

The Milwaukee Dairymen picked up a win at Corps of Discovery Stadium, knocking off the St. Louis Explorers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Keith Williams played a key role in the triumph. The 6th-place Dairymen hiked their record to 62-78.

Jessie Barron had a big 2-run triple for the Dairymen in the top of the first inning. With Milwaukee leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Dick Lott, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1967 draft, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dairymen ahead, 4-0.

"Enjoyed this one," Barron told the Milwaukee Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
