Dairymen Rally Late to Nip Eagles
|
Dairymen fans were treated to an exciting walk-off win.
In a well-pitched game between the Milwaukee Dairymen and the Washington Eagles, pitcher Andy Campbell was superb. The Milwaukee right-hander helped his team win, 2-1. The win gives the Dairymen a record of 47-93.
Larry Morford was the walk-off hero for Milwaukee. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dairymen left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Campbell. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
