Houston and Twin Cities duked it out and the Drillers came out victorious.

The Houston Drillers knocked off the Twin Cities Northmen, 4-1, in American Baseball League action at Twin Cities Stadium. Houston pitcher and Guadalajara, Mexico, native Francisco Castro had an outstanding performance. Castro got the win, improving to 11-9. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. He allowed 1 run.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the bottom of the fourth inning, but Castro was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Twin Cities trailing 1-0, Castro retired Gerald Gross, who popped out.

The win puts Houston at 72-66 this season.
