Generals Fall to Empires Late
The New York Empires rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Danilo Molina to a win, beating the Atlanta Generals, 4-2, at Queens Field. The Empires raised their record to 67-72.

Al Castro drove in 2 runs for New York. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Scott Dubyak. It was his 38th RBI of the season.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Molina.
