Dallas Wins, 3-2, Over Seagulls
Dallas starter Barry Gilmore pitched well against the San Francisco Seagulls at Mission Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2, in 10 innings. Dallas reliever Frank Dunn picked up the win, upping his record to 6-5. Dave Maughan absorbed the loss. Ken Morrison recorded his 2nd save for Dallas.

Dallas used the timely hitting of Ron Somers to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Wranglers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I made a lot of good pitches," said Gilmore. "I was right where I wanted to be."

The win lifted the Dallas record to 72-67.
