Due in large part to shortstop Pedro Villamil, the Los Angeles Blockbusters sunk the Kansas City Bulls, 9-6. Villamil was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Los Angeles reliever Mark Evert picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Pat Thornton was saddled with the loss. Fred Wild converted his 16th save in 23 tries.
