Dairymen Take Down Explorers, 7-2
The Milwaukee Dairymen knocked off the St. Louis Explorers, 7-2, at Corps of Discovery Stadium. It took 10 innings. Guillermo Morales was a prime reason Milwaukee won. The center fielder was 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 singles, and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs. Milwaukee reliever Dan Valenti snagged the win, upping his record to 10-3. Marty Clark shouldered the loss. Milwaukee has 3 straight wins, St. Louis 3 straight losses.

In the top of the ninth with no one out, the Dairymen were let down by their defense. With Milwaukee trailing 2-1, Morales hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It could have been more costly, but the Dairymen were able to get the win.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said St. Louis skipper Ray Fleetwood.
