Knickerbockers Get Past Cleveland, 5-4
|
The New York Knickerbockers beat the Cleveland Bobcats, 5-4. New York pitcher and Boulder, Colorado, native Tracy Carpenter led the way. At 70-71, the Knickerbockers claim 5th place in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.
New York took a 5-3 lead on Dwayne Lamons's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Lamons hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Cleveland pitcher Joe Hutto visibly frustrated.
"This was a good win," said Lamons.
