The Baltimore Lords took Syed Farooqi's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Sam Houston Field. The final score had Baltimore getting past the Drillers, 4-2, in 11 innings. Farooqi over 8 innings allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 4. Denny Boyd claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 10-13. The Lords go to 56-86 with the win.

Richie Amos came through with a big-time hit for Baltimore. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Amos said. "And the same is true when you lose."
