Wranglers Earn 7-5 Win Against Seagulls
The Dallas Wranglers spoiled a good performance by San Francisco third baseman Scott Wagner, bumping off San Francisco, 7-5, at Mission Field. Wagner was 3-5 with 3 singles and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dallas has now won 3 in a row.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Mike Shreve came to bat in the top of the 17th. Facing San Francisco pitcher Jeff Butler, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Dallas on top, 6-5.

In postgame comments to the Dallas Daily News, Shreve said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
