Briggs Tosses 3-0 Shutout Against Cincinnati
|
Bob Briggs was dynamite at Roman Arena, blowing away the Cincinnati Packers in a shutout victory. The Pittsburgh Industrials starter had everything working as he held the Packers to 3 hits in the 3-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Cincinnati skipper Martin Abresch. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Briggs finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks.
So far this season, Briggs has a 16-4 record with a 2.55 ERA.
