Hawks Earn 6-0 Home Win
|
Kevin Edwards, who is a three-time All-Star, never let the Drillers get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Hawks to a win, 6-0. The win has Chicago at 52-90.
Don Bozza, who is a three-time All-Star, took Houston hurler Bill Switzer deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Hawks on top, 3-0. In all, Bozza had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Bozza told a Chicago Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
