Wranglers Score Late, Clip Seagulls, 3-2
In a low-scoring tilt between the Dallas Wranglers and the San Francisco Seagulls, Barry Gilmore, who finished 2nd in the ABL in ERA with 1.90 in 1968, was the difference-maker. The Dallas right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Dallas reliever Frank Dunn got the win, raising his record to 10-10. Tim Stambaugh was tagged with the loss. The wins continue to add up for Dallas. The latest makes it 8 in a row.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Pat Simmons came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing San Francisco pitcher Tim Stambaugh, he hit a full count cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Dallas on top, 3-2.

"This team's hitting on all cylinders," said Wranglers manager William Albrecht.
