Knickerbockers Get One-Run Win at Philadelphia
Rick Hotz was a major contributor to the 6-5 New York win over Philadelphia. The Knickerbockers catcher went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The triumph puts New York at 75-66 for the season.

New York used a clutch at-bat from Ron Freeman to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Knickerbockers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Hotz.
