Wranglers Pin 4-3 Loss on Twin Cities
|
Behind a solid performance from third baseman Manny Pino, the Dallas Wranglers defeated the Twin Cities Northmen, 4-3. Pino went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Wranglers. Dario Perez got credit for the win, improving to 13-9. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 7 innings. Frank Dunn recorded the save, making him 14 for 16.
Rick Adams, who led the ABL in triples with 14 in 1971, had a direct impact on the outcome. Adams contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth inning to put Dallas up, 3-2.
Dallas manager William Albrecht called it "a darn good win."
After today's action, Dallas sits at 66-74, while Twin Cities falls to 67-75.
