Late Rally by Bobcats Locks Up 6-3 Win
The Cleveland Bobcats downed the Milwaukee Dairymen, 6-3, at Lakefront Stadium. The Bobcats were led by Ray Gardner. He was 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Cleveland pitcher Matt Rutledge got the win. He's now 1-1. Mike Brown was tagged with the loss. The Dairymen fall to 6-9 and continue their uninspiring start to the 1968 season.

Gardner had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the eighth, when he hit a single. The Bobcats went on to win.

"We'll put that win in the can," said Gardner, "and go after the next one."
