The Montreal Habitants got a good effort from starter Oscar Rodela in defeating the New York Empires at LaSalle Stadium. The final score was 9-2. Montreal now has a record of 76-65 with the win.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at LaSalle Stadium seemed to enjoy watching the American Baseball League action.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Montreal manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon.
