Independence Field played host to some real drama.

Kansas City pitcher and Pennsville, New Jersey, native Steve Estes had an outstanding performance. Kansas City reliever Steve Eaton picked up the win, raising his record to 2-8. The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Kansas City second baseman John Villalobos, facing Wayne Guilmette, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Bulls the 6-5 win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Villalobos said.
