Brooklyn Stopped, 10-4, by Milwaukee
Behind a fine performance from Champ Arkle, the Milwaukee Dairymen knocked off the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 10-4. Arkle was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Dairymen. Milwaukee is now 75-68, Brooklyn 79-65.

Larry Morford had a big 3-run home run for the Dairymen in the top of the first inning. With Milwaukee leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from Bill Keiser, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1965 draft, and punished it. The result was his 16th home run of the season, which put the Dairymen on top, 4-0.

"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Morford.
