The Los Angeles Pobladores powered past the Dallas Wranglers, 8-1, at Bluff Park. Chuck Gunter went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times, to lead the charge. The victory puts Los Angeles at 52-91.

Los Angeles used a clutch at-bat from Angel Gutierrez to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Pobladores ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Los Angeles skipper Kurt Peterson.
