The Houston Drillers and San Francisco Seagulls put on quite a show.

The Houston Drillers picked up a win at Mission Field, knocking off the San Francisco Seagulls, 5-3. Starting pitcher Randy Robins played a key role in the triumph. Houston improves to 91-52 with the win. They lead their division by 11½ games.

Ed Shofner provided a timely hit. The Houston third baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Drillers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Robins.
