The rain came, as predicted, but the Cleveland Bobcats and Pittsburgh Industrials were able to complete their ballgame.

The Cleveland Bobcats pinned a convincing loss on the Pittsburgh Industrials, 11-3, at Lakefront Stadium. Ruben Galvan was a main factor in the win. He was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for Cleveland. The loss drops the Industrials to 1-1.

With Cleveland leading 3-2 in the bottom of the second, Galvan hit a 2-run single off Pittsburgh hurler Bob Briggs. It was the 3rd hit of the season for Galvan and put his team ahead, 5-2.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Galvan told the Cleveland Today.
