Forbes Deals Washington 7-0 Setback
|
New York pitcher Jack Forbes had a large part in his team subduing the Washington Eagles, 7-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Washington falls to 0-2.
In his 101-pitch effort, Forbes allowed no runs on 6 hits over 8.2 innings. He walked 0 and struck out 5.
"Jack gave us everything he had," said New York manager Timothy Widholm.
