Late Offense Lifts Pittsburgh to 7-5 Victory
Brooklyn got a decent performance from pitcher Larry Mitchell, but it wasn't enough to beat the Pittsburgh Industrials. Pittsburgh won the Flatbush Park contest, 7-5. Mitchell threw 6.2 innings allowing 4 runs for the losing team. The Bluebirds are now 6-9.

Pittsburgh used the timely hitting of Rob Isenbarger to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Industrials on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

After the game, Isenbarger refused to speak to a reporter for the Pittsburgh Bulletin. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
