Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Empires
New York parlayed a decent outing from starter Larry Stanford into a solid win over the Baltimore Lords. The final score was 5-2. New York reliever Bruce Shone picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Denny Boyd was saddled with the loss. The Empires have a winning streak of 4 games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Rick Lintner in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Denny Boyd to win the game for New York. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place was rocking at the end," Lintner said.
