Forbes Twirls Knickerbockers to Shutout Win
|
New York pitcher Jack Forbes gave the Pittsburgh Industrials fits, as he blanked them, 10-0, on 4 hits. He registered 5 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout.
"When he's locating his pitches, he becomes unpredictable," Knickerbockers manager Timothy Widholm said. "He had Pittsburgh guessing the entire game."
Forbes has made 29 starts, tossed 206 innings, struck out 119 batters and walked 54. His record is 12-10 with a 3.15 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .245 batting average.
