Terriers Suffer 10-3 Road Loss
|
New York Empires starter Andy Humphrey pitched a strong game against the Boston Terriers at Queens Field, leading the Empires to victory, 10-3. The victory gives New York a record of 78-67.
With one out in the top of the eighth, Gary Williams had a chance to do some damage. Boston was trailing 9-2, but had the bases loaded. Williams came to the plate against Bruce Shone, and hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough to complete a Boston comeback.
