Hawks Get 6-2 Win Versus Twin Cities
A 4-RBI performance from the four-time All-Star Ernie Ronnebaum helped the Chicago Hawks beat the Twin Cities Northmen, 6-2. Doug Smilanich, the winning pitcher, is now 7-12. He went 8 innings, allowing no runs on 8 hits, while fanning 2 and walking 1. Chicago is now 62-83, Twin Cities 71-75.

In the bottom of the fourth, Chicago right fielder Mark Morris had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Morris stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 2-0, Chicago. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with a double.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ronnebaum told the Chicago Daily.
