Generals Deal Terriers 5-2 Defeat
|
Spirited fans greeted the Boston Terriers for their clash with the Atlanta Generals.
The Boston Terriers went down to defeat to Scott Dubyak and his Atlanta teammates. The final score was 5-2, in favor of the Generals. In 8 innings, Dubyak surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up his 4th save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Frank Noorani.
Roberto Palacios had a big run-scoring triple for the Generals in the top of the sixth inning. With Atlanta leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from former first round draft pick Alex Alonso and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Generals ahead, 3-1.
"That was a really good outing by Scott," said Atlanta manager Philipe Yazzie.
Atlanta goes to 9-5 with the win.
