Morrison goes 4-for-5 to Ignite Wolverines Offense
The Detroit Wolverines powered past the Seattle Emeralds, 9-6, at Puget Field. Pete Morrison provided some of the pop. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Fred Harrison got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The Wolverines improved their record to 73-72 with the win over Seattle.

Dave Cox helped out the Detroit cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Kurt Peterson said.
