Brooklyn Defeated by Cincinnati, 6-2
|
The Cincinnati Packers defeated the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 6-2, at Roman Arena. Jesse Dickerson was one of the standouts for Cincinnati. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 triple -- this in addition to the 1 run he scored and 2 he knocked in. Alan Haney, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 4.2 innings. Cincinnati is now 68-78.
Early in the game, Dickerson had a 2-run triple for Cincinnati. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Packers on top, 2-0.
In comments to the Cincinnati Citizen, Dickerson admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
