Blockbusters Suffer One-Run Loss at St. Louis
|
In a tight contest between the St. Louis Explorers and the Los Angeles Blockbusters, Marty Clark was the determining factor. The St. Louis right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. The Explorers now have a record of 80-65 with the win over Los Angeles.
Bernie Tudor had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for St. Louis. He came through with a run-scoring single to put St. Louis in front, 3-0.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Explorers manager Ray Fleetwood. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
