2-1 Win Takes Empires to 79-67
|
The New York Empires went home winners at Queens Field, thanks in large part to starter Nate Frampton. Frampton stifled the Boston Terriers, enabling New York to grab the 2-1 win. With the win, New York pushed its record to 79-67.
New York took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Dave Martin hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Empires.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Boston manager Tim Hageman.
