Pitcher Paul Case was sensational for the Toronto Hurons in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Chicago Hawks. Case earned the win. Larry Haddock recorded the save, making him 8 for 15. Toronto is now 68-78, Chicago 53-93.

Cesar Perez helped out the Toronto cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the catcher went 1-3 with a double.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Case said.
