Despite a fine performance by first baseman Armando Landa, the Denver Burros lost to the Cleveland Bobcats, 6-4. Landa was 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Cleveland reliever Del Carbone, now 2-0. The loser was Bill Kaiser. Steve Cheatham was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

Cleveland took a 4-3 lead on Phil Chirico's 29th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Chirico hit in the top of the tenth, left Denver pitcher Bill Kaiser visibly frustrated.
