Hurons Defeated by Lords, 3-1
The Baltimore Lords had to overcome a good performance from Toronto pitcher Jerry Toups to claim a 3-1 win at Dominion Field. Toups went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Kenny Wilson, 4-7, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 3.2 innings. Larry Diego earned save number 19 this season.

Baltimore used a well-timed hit by George McIntyre to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lords ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

McIntyre called the win "a lesson in teamwork."

Baltimore is third in the American Baseball League Eastern Division with a record of 74-72.
