Bluebirds Fall to Briggs and Industrials, 1-0

In a low-scoring contest, Pittsburgh pitcher Bob Briggs was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 1-0 win. The triumph puts Pittsburgh at 84-63 for the season.
Bob Briggs was masterful. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.
"Bob pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker.
