Curry, Terriers Finish Off Lords, 3-1
|
The Boston Terriers beat the Baltimore Lords, 3-1. Boston pitcher and Birmingham, Alabama, native Art Curry led the way. The Lords, 7-8, continue their so-so start to the 1967 season.
Curry threw well for Boston, thwarting the Baltimore offense. The right-hander tossed 99 pitches over 9 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 5 hits.
"We'll savor this win," Curry told the Boston Observer, "then get ready for the next game."
