The Seattle Emeralds and Detroit Wolverines completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The Seattle Emeralds stopped the Detroit Wolverines, 9-3, at Puget Field. The Emeralds got a big game from Dave Robertson, who was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Dave Gilson, who is tied for 10th in the ABL with a 1.15 WHIP, was the winner. He's now 11-7. The loser was Warren Washington.

Roberto Soto had a big grand slam home run for the Emeralds in the bottom of the third inning. With Seattle leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Warren Washington and swatted a home run to left. It was his 16th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Emeralds ahead, 7-0.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Soto told the Seattle Chronicle.

The victory gives Seattle a record of 84-63.
