Seagulls Keep Streak Alive with Late Rally
The San Francisco Seagulls picked up a win at Puget Field, downing the Seattle Emeralds, 5-2. On the mound for San Francisco was right-hander Tim Stambaugh, who played a pivotal role in the win. Stambaugh, the winner, moves to 17-10. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 1 walk. Earning his 37th save of the year was Archie Sereni.

San Francisco needed the clutch hitting of Jose Barroso to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Seagulls on top, 4-2. For the game, Barroso had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said San Francisco manager Al Borie.
