Dairymen Lose at Home, 6-2, to Kansas City
|
The Kansas City Bulls locked up a win at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium, knocking off the Milwaukee Dairymen, 6-2. On the mound for Kansas City was right-hander Tom Mitchell. He played a major role in the triumph. The winner was Mitchell. He threw 8.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Danny Guerra. Kansas City is now 63-85.
Kansas City used a clutch at-bat from Hank Cummings to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Bulls ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Said losing manager Brandon Dudley: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
