Kansas City Defeats Cincinnati, 14-4
Roman Arena was the site for National Baseball League action featuring the Cincinnati Packers and Kansas City Bulls.

The Kansas City Bulls did not need a Herculean effort from starter Steve Estes, not with their offense scoring runs at will. Kansas City dispatched the Cincinnati Packers, 14-4. Kansas City, with the win, is 48-101.

Ken Durick had a big bases-clearing double for the Bulls in the top of the second inning. With Kansas City leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from John Stoddard, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1965 draft, and swatted a double to left. It was his 19th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bulls ahead, 5-0.

Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch said: "We'll put this one in the trash can and get ready for the next game."
