Bulls Squelch Dairymen Offense in Shutout Win
|
Kansas City turned a good effort from starter Waldo Hardaway into a win over the Milwaukee Dairymen at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. The final score was 5-0. The Bulls, at 64-85, sit in last place in the National Baseball League Western Division.
The Bulls got a big at-bat from center fielder Hal Lahr. For the game, Lahr went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Kansas City a 1-0 lead.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Lahr. "But I have better dreams after a win."
