Habitants Take 10-0 Pounding
New York turned a fine outing from starter Nate Frampton into a victory over the Montreal Habitants at Queens Field. The final score was 10-0. Frampton got the win, improving to 13-7. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. He allowed no runs. The second-place Empires now sit at 83-64.

New York left fielder Al Castro contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a changeup to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 100th hit of the season and put the Empires ahead, 3-0.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Castro.
