Briggs K's 11 En Route to 7-2 Industrials Win
|
Pittsburgh Industrials starter Bob Briggs pitched his team past the New York Knickerbockers, 7-2. Pittsburgh, now 84-65, holds down second place in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.
The Knickerbockers had their hands full with Briggs, who overpowered New York hitters while racking up 11 strikeouts.
"That was awesome. Really, really impressive, what Bob did," said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker.
