The Baltimore Lords knocked off the Atlanta Generals, 8-4, at Atlantic Station Field. Danny Fierro was a big reason Baltimore won. The first baseman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Denny Boyd converted his 14th save in 19 tries. The Lords improved their record to 66-83 by beating Atlanta.

Baltimore used a well-timed hit by John Balliet to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Lords ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Fierro told the Baltimore Times.
