Terriers Get One-Run Win at Baltimore
|
Boston Terriers starter Dusty Solomon pitched well against the Baltimore Lords at Seton Hill Stadium, leading his team to a win, 3-2. The win puts Boston at 48-101.
Jeff Milton, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1968 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Milton contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Boston up, 3-0.
"Bottom line," said Baltimore skipper Steve Read, "we didn't play well enough to win."
