Burros Make It 6 in a Row with 3-1 Win
The Denver Burros earned a close win over the Los Angeles Blockbusters, thanks in part to Bart Dunsley. The Denver left-hander, who finished 3rd in the NBL in innings pitched with 251.1 in 1964, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. The winner was Dunsley. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Larry Mitchell. Rick Morton notched his 8th save in 12 chances.

With Denver leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Dunsley hit a run-scoring single off Los Angeles hurler Larry Mitchell. It was the 21st hit of the season for Dunsley and put his team ahead, 3-1.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Dunsley.

The Burros bumped their record to 93-58 with this win.
