Wranglers Take Down Emeralds, 6-5
The Dallas Wranglers stopped the Seattle Emeralds, 6-5, at Puget Field. The Wranglers got a big game from Eddie Ellison, who went 2-7 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Joaquin Hernandez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities. The Emeralds, at 59-91, have lost 5 straight games.

Ellison had a game-changing home run in the top of the 14th. On a first pitch fastball from Bobby Porter, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Wranglers a 6-5 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Ellison.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Ellison.
