Bulls Lose at Home, 2-0
|
St. Louis Explorers pitcher Bruce Cardenas was in top form, leading his team past the Kansas City Bulls, 2-0. The Bulls fall to 6-10 and continue their unimpressive start to the 1970 season.
Had Adam Voeller not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Voeller hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Explorers.
Voeller attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
