The Boston Terriers trumped the Detroit Wolverines, 16-5, at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Boston catcher Paul Knight was terrific. He was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Alex Alonso got the win, improving to 15-9. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 0. With the win, the Terriers improved to 71-79.

Alex Alonso had a big 2-run double for the Terriers in the bottom of the second inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from 1967 Rookie of the Year Award winner Juan Rodriguez and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Terriers ahead, 3-0.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Jonah Placeholder said.
