Quakers Shut Out Industrials, 2-0
|
The Philadelphia Quakers picked up a win at Allegheny Field, taking down the Pittsburgh Industrials, 2-0. Starting pitcher Art Wohlt was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Wohlt, now 4-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Earning the save was Mark Garland. He's now cashed in 8 of 13 save opportunities.
In the top of the seventh, with the game still scoreless, Wohlt hit a run-scoring single to put his team in the lead.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Wohlt said.
Philadelphia has run its win streak to 4 straight.
