Hurons 3-1 Winners Over Detroit
The Toronto Hurons had to overcome a good performance from Detroit pitcher Ray Wilson to claim a 3-1 win at Wolverine Field. Wilson went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Earning the save was Alex Mendoza. He's now cashed in 8 of 11 save opportunities. The Hurons raised their record to 59-91.

Jack Banes had a direct impact on the outcome. Banes contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Toronto up, 1-0.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Hurons manager Jim Burns.
