Traders Lose By a Run at Milwaukee
Fans watched the Milwaukee Dairymen and the Chicago Traders fight to the finish.

The Milwaukee Dairymen picked up a win at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium, taking down the Chicago Traders, 4-3. Starting pitcher Danny Guerra was a big reason why. Guerra, now 11-14, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 3 runs.

Ruben Galvan had a big 2-run double for the Dairymen in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Milwaukee leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from 1969 Rookie of the Year Award winner Larry Cox and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dairymen ahead, 4-1.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Guerra.

Milwaukee now owns a record of 71-81.
