The Seattle Emeralds called upon starter Pat Burkholder, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Dallas Wranglers, 5-1. The winning pitcher was Burkholder, now 10-10. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. The setback makes Dallas 80-72.

Alex Rojas had a big run-scoring triple for the Emeralds in the top of the third inning. With Seattle leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Charlie Sokol, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 1962, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Emeralds ahead, 3-0.
